Launch of the Economic Survey in the Emirate of Sharjah

The Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development has commenced data collection for the Economic Survey in the emirate, leveraging the latest technological solutions provided by RealSoft Advanced Applications. The survey will continue over a period of four months. During this time, a sample of economic establishments operating in Sharjah will be targeted.

The Economic Survey is a fundamental tool for analyzing economic activity and providing accurate data to assist governments and institutions in making informed economic decisions and developing policies to achieve growth and economic balance. Ajman Statistics Center Continues Surveying Household Income and Expenditure

Ajman Statistics Center continues its data collection efforts for the Household Income and Expenditure Survey in the emirate, which commenced on March 1. This survey relies on the latest technological solutions provided by RealSoft Advanced Applications company, aiming to create a clear understanding and insight into the economic situation of households in the emirate. This, in turn, assists decision-makers in making better economic and social decisions by providing them with data on household income from various sources such as salaries, allowances, and income from other economic activities. This survey will continue for twelve months, during which a sample of selected households will be visited, and data will be collected using the Household Income and Expenditure Survey form. A team of field researchers will visit all targeted households across various areas of the emirate, interviewing the head of the household to gather detailed information about the family and its members, in addition to supplementary data related to household income and expenditure.
It is worth mentioning that the Ajman Statistics Center has employed field data collection for this survey using tablet devices, equipped with geographic maps, aerial images, and specialized data collection systems tailored to the nature of the survey. Furthermore, the tablet system includes a feature to send collected data to the central database, allowing the quality assurance and auditing team to conduct reviews before proceeding with the analysis and dissemination of results. In addition to the data collection system, the solution used in the survey also provided a system for managing field operations, enabling defining the work team, distributing tasks among researchers, and reviewing field progress in real-time.

Launch of Aqaba Census – Al-Khwarizmi Platform to Support Census Systems

Utilizing Al-Khwarizmi platform for statistical surveys by RealSoft Advanced Applications, Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, in collaboration with the Department of Statistics in Jordan, has commenced the comprehensive census for population, housing, economic establishments, and agricultural holdings in the Aqaba Governorate for the year 2024.

At this stage of the project, a team of field researchers is utilizing systems and services developed by RealSoft. The first phases of the census began at the beginning of March, involving the enumeration and classification of all residences and establishments, along with collecting limited data about households.

Upon completion of the enumerating buildings, housing units, and establishments, preparations will begin for the population counting phase, which will commence in May of this year. During this phase, every household in the governorate will be revisited, and the head of the household will be interviewed to gather detailed data about families across various parts of the governorate to complete the required information.

The Department of Statistics is employing tablets and Al-Khwarizmi platform for statistical surveys for managing census operations, collecting and verifying statistical data, and sending it to the central database. Additionally, they are using a fieldwork system that facilitates supervision, monitoring, workload distribution among researchers, and field achievement review.

It is noteworthy that Al-Khwarizmi is used by several statistical centers in the region to automate all stages of the census, ensuring ease of use, and quick results extraction with high quality and accuracy of statistical data.
